The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba at Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Finally have time to do a Sunday Post! Things are a bit hectic here. I am switching classrooms, which I am super excited about. I’ll be leaving my toddler class, and teaching Pre-K. Hooray, no more diapers! Plus, I can do more teaching, and less nose-wiping. High fives all around! I also am starting a new job. I’ll be a cashier/coffee bar attendant at local brunch-type-restaurant on the weekends. Busy, busy, me! I love being busy though, so that’s a good thing.

FOR REVIEW :

I’ll add this in my Sunday Post for next week, because I got so many library books this week, I’m afraid to look at what I’ve gotten for review as well.

LIBRARY :

I also got quite a few picture books for my new classroom. I’m pretty stoked about the assortment of cozy mysteries I got! It’s one of my favorite genres, and I’ve been neglecting it lately. I’m hoping to catch up on a few series I’ve abandoned, and start a new few new ones. Do any of you read cozies? If you do, what are some of your favorites, so I can check those series out as well?

What did y’all get? Have you read any of the ones pictured? Leave me links in the comment section!!

Congrats on the new job! That’s always nice. Looks like you have some good posts there to check out…

I do read an occasional cozy mystery, I tend to like the ones set around the turn of the century or whatever. The Vanishing Thief is a recent one that I liked, not sure if it’s a cozy per se but probably is.

  3. RedIza says:

Congrats on your jobs ! My, you did raid the library lol ! I don’t read many cozies nowadays, but read all the Agatha Christie, and a lot of Patricia Wentworth, Colin Dexter and Anne Perry.

  4. Congrats on the job, it sounds like that’s what you want to do. It can be very tiring though to do a weekend job as well especially with something so demanding as working with little kids…. I used to work in an office weekdays and weekend at a laundrette – gosh that was hard. Make sure you relax with a good book :)
Have a great week and Happy Reading.

  7. Congrats on your new job! The only one I read was Cinder and I loved it. I do hope you enjoy it as well. I have not read most of those books, I will have to check them out.

Hope you have a great week!

  8. OMGOSH!! Thank God for long due dates on library books! I have like 5 books out that I need to get to but I can’t seem to stop taking books out! It’s hard because I work there and it’s sooooo hard when the books keep wanting to go home with me!!

And you know who reads cozies? Geeky the Book Blogger! Especially the mysteries (is there any other kind of cozy?!?!?!)

And thank you for being a teacher!!! :)

  9. Jessica says:

Yay for A Mad, Wicked Folly!! Tell me what you think about it when you get to it. I still have to read Cinder, it’s in a box here somewhere. I’ve never read cozy mysteries, but I would love to, I just have no idea where to start.
Congrats on getting another class and the weekend job! I’m hoping to get some kind of work soon.
    Have a great week!
