Reading Challenges 2014!

It’s that time of year again! Where I, Danie, look for a billion and seven reading challenges that I know I’ll never finish. So this year I’m trying to limit it to ones that I know I can (and probably will) actually complete. So here we go…

2014RC hosting+U+Read+How+Many%3f Reading Challenges 2014!
The ‘You Read How Many Books?’ reading challenge is hosted by Gina at Book Dragon’s Lair.
I’m going to try for level 2, which is 150 books for the year. Any genre. My goal this year was to hit 125, and the year before that was 110, so I’ve been steadily increasing. Hopefully I’ll be able to meet this goal as well!
PROGRESS : 44/150
2014Ebook 2 Reading Challenges 2014!
The ’2014 Ebook Reading Challenge’ is hosted by Sarah at Workaday Reads.
I’m shooting for the level of “DVD,” which is 25 books. I’d like to bump up to the Memory Stick, which is 50 books.

PROGRESS : 27/25
COMPLETED!
2014%2520Outdo%2520Yourself%2520Reading%2520Challenge Reading Challenges 2014!
The ’2014 Outdo Yourself Reading Challenge’ is hosted by Brianna at The Book Vixen.
I’ll be signing up for the I’m On Fire level, which is 16+ more books than I read in 2013. Like I mentioned, my goal for 2013 is 125, and it’s looking like I’m going to hit that. So my goal for 2014 will be 150 books.

PROGRESS : 44/150
ReviewBooks sq Reading Challenges 2014!
The ’2014 Review Pile Reading Challenge’ is hosted by Reanna at Phantasmic Reads and Rachel at Fiktshun.
I’ll be going for the Grand Master level, which is 31-40 review books.

PROGRESS : 19/31
And I think that’s going to be it. A lot of these challenges will work together. For example, I have a LOT of eARCs that I need to catch up on for review. And that takes care of a book for all four challenges. I just have to stick with it!
Tell me, did you sign up for any reading challenges this year?

  1. I only did the Goodreads challenge this year. My goal initially was 110 and then I bumped it up to 125 when I completed the first goal in July. I completed it again late October but didn’t add more to it that time although I’m pretty sure I’ll hit 140 before the year is through so I’m happ. My goal next year will be 150 and then we’ll see from there. Like you I’ve steadily progressed each year and I’m pretty sure 150 is a reasonable goal.

I love reading challenges! I signed up for way too many this year, and it was hard to keep track of my progress for all of them. I know I completed all of them though. For 2014 I cut back and signed up for five which overlap nicely. One of them is the Review Pile challenge, too! I’m going to take a look at that ebook challenge, and see if I want to sign up. :)

  3. I fail quite badly at these goals haha.. I tend to just.. forget I have them >.< BUT I think I might aim for the Review Pile Challenge next year. I did pretty good with them this year so just gotta keep up the momentum! Good luck! ~Chelle http://thepassionatebookworms.com

  4. ooh reading challenges I think I may take that jump and do 1 or 2 I have a ton of books that I bought but for whatever reason haven’t read. Considering I put myself of a buying fast this will work.

  5. I love this time of year. I always overestimate how much I can do, they’re just so fun to join!

  6. Reading challenges are sooooo addicting! I have to limit myself too, otherwise I’d go overboard. Thanks for joining me in my Outdo Yourself reading challenge :D
