I’m just me and that’s it.
I wrote an epic, historical, paranormal romance, YA fantasy about a Ferryman and a Flame. It’s an epic love story about a boy that’s supposed to follow death and a girl that could cause the apocalypse, betraying everything to be together. Kaliel and Krishani would rather tear the world apart than let each other go.
And I guess that’s why it’s not nice.
Why a Ferryman and a Flame? They’re the characters in the background of other stories. So miniscule you barely notice them there. They never took center stage in mythology. Their story is part of other stories, bits and pieces that add up to something extraordinary. Extraordinary and hidden.
I’m a sucker for tragic romances.
And this one wasn’t like others. It wasn’t starcrossed lovers, a love triangle, memory loss, miscommunication, fake deaths, brother/sister scenario, cheating, murder, kidnapping, bad omens, poverty, etc. etc.
Kaliel and Krishani’s tragedy comes from innocent mistakes. You’d never guess the kinds of things that turn their world upside down and backwards.
And the real sting isn’t in the details of the tragedy itself. It’s how they react to their impending doom. It’s how being apart turns them into ugly people.
I’ve seen other characters bottle it up, move on, grieve, go through the motions, get addicted to something, let someone else in and fall in love again.
Kaliel and Krishani didn’t forget each other. Bad things happened to them, because of them, and they didn’t give up on each other.
That’s why I wrote the books. This was a story that deserved to be told, because unlike every other romance out there, Kaliel and Krishani’s love never fades, never burns out, and never gets dull.
It’s innocent, genuine, intense, sexy, all consuming, heartbreaking, tender, and romantic.
“All I want is this, this and nothing else, ever,” – Krishani of Amersil (and sometimes Kaliel of Evennses)

How Like Wow Bathroom Scene
She felt a tremor rip through her. She fought for control, but the Flame lost inside was begging to come forward. Please, let go, the voice inside of her pleaded. She closed her eyes and felt them changing color, felt her aura pulsating and wondered if he saw it. She bit her lip and her fingers ached as she gripped the basin harder. Temptation! she told herself harshly, trying to push it away.
“You can’t be with me, the Brotherhood won’t allow it,” she muttered, trying to gain some ground, something to make him turn from her. She opened her eyes.
He took another step forward, and she tasted his earthiness on her tongue. Her heart sped up and she felt herself losing control. Her hand slipped off the basin and she faltered, trying to find her balance again.
Instead, his hand slid into hers and he pulled her to him, crushing her against his chest to steady her. His eyes were just as wide as hers were as she stared at him. He closed his and brushed his lips against hers.
All her barriers fell. Wrapping her arms around his neck, she sank into his kiss with longing as tears slid down her cheeks.
His hands moved along her back as he pulled her away from the basin, trying to move to the music that echoed from the Grand Hall through the walls.

She’s unlike the other girls, she swims with merfolk, talks to trees and blooms flowers with her touch. What he doesn’t know is that she’s a flame, one of nine individually hand crafted weapons, hidden in the body of a seemingly harmless girl.Nobody has fallen in love with a flame until now. She becomes Krishani’s refuge from the dreams of death and the weather abilities he can’t control. Striking down thousand year old trees with lightning isn’t something he tries to do, it just happens. When the Ferryman dies, Krishani knows that he’s the next and that a lifetime of following death is his destiny.
And Kaliel can’t come with him. The Valtanyana are hunting the flames, the safest place for her is Avristar. Krishani can’t bear to leave her, and one innocent mistake grants the Valtanyana access to their mystical island. They’re coming for Kaliel, and they won’t stop until every last living creature on Avristar is dead. She has to choose, hide, face them, or awaken the flame and potentially destroy herself.
