From Goodreads:
When a strange boy tumbles down a river embankment and lands at her feet, seventeen-year-old adrenaline junkie Deznee Cross snatches the opportunity to piss off her father by bringing the mysterious hottie with ice blue eyes home.
Except there’s something off with Kale. He wears her shoes in the shower, is overly fascinated with things like DVDs and vases, and acts like she’ll turn to dust if he touches her. It’s not until Dez’s father shows up, wielding a gun and knowing more about Kale than he should, that Dez realizes there’s more to this boy—and her father’s “law firm”—than she realized.
Kale has been a prisoner of Denazen Corporation—an organization devoted to collecting “special” kids known as Sixes and using them as weapons—his entire life. And, oh yeah, his touch? It kills. The two team up with a group of rogue Sixes hellbent on taking down Denazen before they’re caught and her father discovers the biggest secret of all. A secret Dez has spent her life keeping safe.
A secret Kale will kill to protect.

The Bookish Brunette thought:
The first time I saw Touch was on NetGalley. And honestly, it wasn’t screaming “Take me to your Nook immediately chick!” so I just kinda skimmed over it… THEN a bit later Jacinda from The Reading Housewives posted her review of this book. You can’t go wrong with, “Touch is one of my favorite books of 2011″ which is what Jac said- so I grabbed a copy the day it released on Amazon and…
On page ONE, the word ‘epic’ was utilized… which is an EPIC WIN in my book! And by page THREE- I was hooked like a catfish at a Bass Pro Tournament! Our main character, Dez (who is ROCKSAUCE awesome!) decides to head home early from a party after,
“Ten minutes of kissy face in the bushes and Mark Geuer thinks we’re soulmates. So don’t need a stalker.” ~Dez
Halfway home, a gorgeous guy comes FALLING down a hill and literally lands at her feet then immediately demands she give him her shoes! She surrenders her shoe’s to the muscled hottie with the striking eyes after the desperate look she sees on his face and four strangely uniformed men come barreling out of the forest asking her if she’s seen a boy come through there. Dez sends them the wrong way, but they split off into opposite directions.
“Guess they didn’t trust a semi-drunk chick with a nose-ring and no shoes.”
Dez makes the command decision to take him HOME with her for two reasons:
1. To irritate her dad
2. Because he’s WICKED hot
“So ready to fill me in yet? Who were those guys in the fruity leotards? Did you piss off a herd of male ballet dancers?”
Seriously, I could have done my review based on nothing but AWESOME quotes taken from this book!
It turns out, NOTHING is as it seems in Dez’s life. Her dad, whom she always deemed a creep is actually like the epitome of evil genius/mad scientist… and Dez and Kale *swoon* end up on the run for their lives!
Touch by Jus Accardo was SOOOO freaking AMAZING! I tore through it like a crazy person! The characters were FABULOUS, the suspense was absolutely nail-biting and the romance… Ooooh dear God- it’s sizziling HOT! I can’t WAIT for TOXIC (Denazen#2) coming in 2012!!
Be prepared to add a new favorite to your shelf when you pick Touch up, it is definitely a MUST READ of 2011!
