Just like it sounds… Book Obsession is just a little place where I can share with all my favorite book lovers, whatever books or SERIES that I’m currently obsessed with!
This week I’ve been LITERALLY obsessed with Karina Halle’s Experiment in Terror series. I started Darkhouse (Experiment in Terror #1) on Jan 28 (Mon) and I’ve been having a manic-type read-a-thon ever since. I just finished On Demon Wings (Experiment in Terror #5) a few hours ago, and I’m getting ready to start Old Blood (EIT #5.5) as soon as I finish this post!
I know… this level of addiction should probably be monitored very closely. I mean, what am I going to do when I RUN OUT? Going by my current pace, that will be TOMORROW!
You guys, the Experiment in Terror series is AMAZING. EPIC-type words cannot even describe the level of FABULOUS these books are! Dex and Perry are two of the best characters that I have EVER read. Ever.
I know I read a lot of “scary” type books… but this series – TERRIFIED ME. Not only are the stories each unique and different, but the attachment and high stress we FEEL for the characters is freaking phenomenal!
And With Madness Comes the Light comes out on Valentine’s Day!!!!
Come Alive (Experiment in Terror, #7) & Little Fifteen (Experiment in Terror, #7.5) will come out later this year… *sigh*
The latest release by Karina Halle, Sins and Needles, has been tearing up Amazon’s Top 100 list since it’s release ONLY three days ago!
And yes, Sins and Needles is as fabulous as it looks. I read it right before my Experiment in Terror book binge.

Karina Halle:
The daughter of a Norwegian Viking and a Finnish Moomin, Karina Halle grew up in Vancouver, Canada with trolls and eternal darkness on the brain. This soon turned into a love of all things that go bump in the night and a rather sadistic appreciation for freaking people out. Like many of the flawed characters she writes, Karina never knew where to find herself and has dabbled in acting, make-up artistry, film production, screenwriting, photography, travel writing and music journalism. She eventually found herself in the pages of the very novels she wrote (if only she had looked there to begin with).
Karina holds a screenwriting degree from Vancouver Film School and a Bachelor of Journalism from TRU. Her travel writing, music reviews/interviews and photography has appeared in publications such as Consequence of Sound, Mxdwn and GoNomad Travel Guides. She currently splits her time between her apartment in downtown Vancouver and her sailboat, where a book and a bottle of wine are always at hand.
